Reception admissions – September 2021

Due to the social distancing and safety rules resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, we are unable to invite prospective students and their families into school to look around and meet our staff. The closing date for September 2021 Reception applications is Friday 15 January 2021.

For admissions into The Halifax Academy Primary phase, parents and guardians must follow the Calderdale Council admission process. Further information can be found via the following link: Admissions or by contacting the Calderdale Council Admissions Team:

Years 7 – 11

For admissions into Year 7 at The Halifax Academy, parents and guardians must follow the Calderdale Council admission process. Further information on the admission process can be found on the Calderdale Council website: Admissions. Students of The Halifax Academy Primary phase are guaranteed a Year 7 place.

Parents and guardians who wish to transfer their child into The Halifax Academy ‘in year’, must complete the ‘in year’ application form which can be found on the Calderdale Council website: In-year transfers. Calderdale Council will write to confirm the outcome of the application.
