For admissions from primary school into The Halifax Academy, parents and guardians must follow the Calderdale Council admission process. Further information on the admission process can be found on the Calderdale Council website: Admissions. Students of The Halifax Academy Primary phase are guaranteed a Year 7 place.

Is your child due to start Secondary school in September 2025?
Come and visit us on Wednesday 2nd October 2024 for our Year 6 Open Evening. The event will run from 5:15pm until 7pm, but we ask that you arrive before 6pm. There will be talks from Mr Perry, tours of the school, classroom demos and a chance to speak to staff about life at The Halifax Academy.
To apply for a place you can submit your application from Wednesday 19th June 2024 until the close of 31st October 2024.
Offers will be made on 1st March 2025.
In Year Transfers
Parents and guardians who wish to transfer their child into The Halifax Academy ‘in year’, must complete the ‘in year’ application form which can be found on the Calderdale Council website: In-year transfers. Calderdale Council will write to confirm the outcome of the application.
