Primary Uniform Expectations

Our primary uniform has been designed in purple to represent the three house colours combined. The uniform consists of the following:

  • Plain white polo shirt
  • Purple cardigan or sweatshirt with academy logo
  • A black skirt or pinafore dress
  • Smart black trousers (not fashion trousers)
  • Plain white or black tights or socks
  • Sensible black shoes (with covered toes), not trainers
  • Book bag
  • In summer, purple and white gingham dresses or smart black shorts may be worn.

We ask parents to support the academy by ensuring children do not have ‘extreme’ haircuts, such as lines or shapes cut into the hair during term time.

We also ask that children do not wear nail varnish to school.

Primary PE Expectations

  • Black PE shorts
  • T-shirt in house colour
  • Trainers
  • A pump bag will be given to pupils by the academy
  • Please note plain stud earrings may be worn – these will need to be removed for P.E.

The academy’s polo shirts, cardigans, sweatshirts, PE t-shirts and book bags can be purchased from Shaw Hardcastle, 3 Old Market, Halifax, HX1 1TJ. Please ensure that all items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
